About Evergreen

Evergreen Continuation High School is located in the city of Sylmar, adjacent to Sylmar High School. We are one of about 45 continuation high schools that are part of the Los Angeles Unified School District's "Options Program." We are fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Continuation schools are designed to meet the social and educational needs of students seeking help and assistance in completing high school graduation requirements. The small campus size fosters close relationships among students and teachers, providing equal emphasis on academic instruction and personal guidance. The program is designed to be flexible enough to accommodate the individual learning styles, academic requirements and social needs of all students.

The school operates on a traditional calendar and we currently have about 70 students enrolled. All students are assigned to five classes during the day which are conducted through direct instruction, independent study or a combination of both. The school's small size allows students to benefit from a close, one-on-one experience with a caring faculty and staff.
